To do this, we are looking to hire Campus Reps on nearly 200 campuses across the United States to connect with students. If you love technology and are connected on campus, this is the job for you!
As a Dell Campus Rep you will work 5 to 10 flexible hours per week year round on campus to promote Dell technology and systems to fellow students. By connecting with your friends and other fellow students, you will be able to successfully build Dell's brand and ultimately increase Dell purchases on your campus. You will also help promote Dell and Dell systems by attending campus events like orientations, club events, career fairs and host tables. Why not get paid to build your social network on campus? What Are We Looking For?
- Current college student interested in gaining paid internship experience with a global leading company.
- University students that live on or near campus year round (including summer) and are interested in hours during the summer and school year.
- Students who know their campus and are involved through academics and extracurricular activities.

- Students who understand social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace and can build Dell's brand online.

- Students interested in the opportunity to be a Dell Campus Rep throughout their college career year after year.
Program Details:
- Training: Late March or Early April 2009- Program Dates: Year-round- Work 5-10 hours/week promoting Dell on campus to ultimately drive Dell sales.- Compensation: Hourly compensation and cash/contest incentives based on results.
Dell Campus Rep Responsibilities:
1. Promote Dell and increase company awareness on campus & act as coordinator for all Dell events on campus - Make presentations to key clubs and social groups on campus - Regularly visit campus administrators to promote Dell and Dell systems on campus - Use the internet and social network sites to promote Dell on campus among college students - Use creative methods to promote Dell on campus - Manage your schedule to guarantee the best impact of your campus
2. Increase Dell and Dell system sales on and near your campus - Drive to students to make Dell purchases online and at university bookstores - Make incentives based on results
3. Complete Administrative Duties - Attend yearly training and monthly conference calls to report on learnings and successes - Weekly timesheets and reporting on online team site
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A desire for work experience with a global company- Access to daily e-mail and internet- Currently a freshman or sophomore student, ideally someone who is well known on campus and knows how to market Dell to fellow students and college administrators- An interest in networking and building networks on campus- Strong presentation skills and an outgoing personality- The ability to work independently- Interest in technology and sales- Involvement in student activities/clubs on campus is a strong asset
Physical Requirements of Position:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to operate a computer; stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasional lifting required (up to 25 lbs.). Some travel may be required by car.
